4th & 5th Floors, Saffron House, London
Since its establishment in 1990, Methods has partnered with a range of central government departments and agencies to transform the way public sector operates in the UK. Its mission is to help safeguard public-facing services and apply digital thinking to make sure the future of our public services is centred around citizens.
Following a PM consultancy tender process, Francis Hunter was appointed to provide project management, contract administrator and quantity surveyor roles for Methods’ relocation to 4th & 5th floors, Saffron House, London EC1N. The new space was taken over in a recently refurbished CAT A format and Francis Hunter’s role included managing this handover process. This relocation was a major event for Methods and allowed it to instigate new ways of working that brought different strands of the business together.
From the in-depth brief taking process, through to budget and programme approval and culminating in the onsite delivery phase, Francis Hunter was involved at every stage. The works were procured on a competitive turnkey design and build basis with Francis Hunter managing the single stage tender process to confirm the design brief was met while conforming to the allocated budget. The CAT B fit out provided an excellent new workplace for Methods and the works were carried out within an occupied building with multiple tenants. Methods, due to the nature of its work, had a number of specific security requirements that we had to include within the main contractor fit out.
Francis Hunter’s value engineering, programming and communication expertise were fundamental to this project and allowed Method to complete this relocation seamlessly.
