Merlin Entertainments is Europe's largest entertainments company, operating across Europe and headquartered in Poole, Dorset. It operates 124 attractions in 25 countries and aims to deliver unique, memorable and rewarding experiences to millions of visitors. It runs some of the best-known names in global leisure, including Legoland, Madame Tussauds and SEA LIFE.
At the end of 2016, Francis Hunter was appointed to consolidate Merlin Entertainments' head office over two floors at Link House, Poole. This involved refurbishing the existing office space on the second floor as well as managing the fit out of the new space on the third floor.
The brief was to create a modern and effective workplace that encourages collaboration and expresses Merlin Entertainments' brand values.
Maze Workplace, part of the Francis Hunter Group, provided services including workplace strategies, workplace design and furniture consulting.
Working with both steering teams and user groups at Merlin, the end result incorporates agile working and smaller meeting rooms in an office that enables their people to both converge and diverge in an 18,500 sqft location.
