DS Smith is a leading provider of corrugated packaging and is present in 37 countries, employing around 32,000 people. The company's story can be traced back to the box-making business started in the 1940s by the Smith family in East London. DS Smith originally listed on the London Stock exchange in the late 1950s.
Following its original relocation to 350 Euston Road in 2012, an opportunity to lease the remaining 6,000sqft on 7thfloor arose. DS Smith asked Francis Hunter to help with this move which involved CAT A & B works to the new floor, establishing a new reception space to connect the 7th floor with the company's existing office.
Francis Hunter managed a negotiated route through to build contract. Employed in our project management, quantity surveyor and employer's agent roles we ensured that DS Smith achieved cost efficiencies while ensuring the high specification standards from the original fit out were maintained.
This new office space has allowed DS Smith to have a head office space suitable and befitting a FSTE 100 company.
