The urban business campus of 77 Fulham Palace Road was acquired by AXA and in conjunction with the development managers Bell Hammer,
Francis Hunter was appointed as Project Manager to assemble a comprehensive design team to look at a long-term strategy to consolidate the commercial business activity on this prominent site. Francis Hunter also acted as contract administrator throughout the construction phase, through to its successful completion.
The development involved intricate yet extensive demolition and refurbishment of the existing office building and effectively increased the next usable floor space by approximately 20%, including external alterations and recladding of the facades, part infilling the existing atrium and incorporating a feature staircase, relocating the parking ramp to the basement, landscaping and improvements to all external areas and the creation of a roof terrace.
The new HQ building also contains a gym & squash court facility with exceptional shower, bike and carparking provision.
Designed by TP Bennett, Foundry was designed with meticulous attention to detail. Every component was carefully considered to help businesses boost productivity with an efficient working environment in which staff can thrive. Foundry also achieved a BREEAM "Excellent" rating.
